Ángel Regalado-Contreras earned his Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering from the Tecnológico Nacional de México. He then pursued his graduate studies at the Ensenada Center for Scientific Research and Higher Education (CICESE) in Baja California, México, where he received a Master of Science in Microfabrication and, in 2024, a Ph.D. in Nanosciences.
His research focuses on photolitography processing, solid-state micro- and nanoelectronics, flexible electronics, and low-scale integrated circuits. He specializes in the synthesis and characterization of wide-bandgap semiconducting thin films, with a particular interest on p-type metal oxides. Dr. Regalado-Contreras is currently a SECIHTI postdoctoral researcher at CNYN.
A native of Veracruz, Mexico, Angel is an art enthusiast who also enjoys sports. His favorite quote is, "The future began this morning."
